Welcome to the Shalom Community Jewish Enrichment Program (SCJEP)—a vibrant, welcoming community where children discover the joy, meaning, and pride of being Jewish. Through engaging, hands-on experiences, students explore Jewish traditions, holidays, values, history, Israel, Hebrew language, and prayer while building lasting friendships and a strong sense of Jewish identity.
At SCJEP, we know that today's families are looking for something different. They want their children to feel connected to Judaism in ways that are relevant, engaging, and meaningful. That's why we've created a program that combines high-quality Jewish education with creativity, collaboration, and fun—all in an environment where every family is welcomed and valued.
Our one-day-a-week program is designed to fit busy family schedules while providing a rich educational experience led by passionate, experienced educators. Students learn through games, projects, discussions, music, interactive activities, and real-world experiences that make Judaism come alive. As students grow, they also develop Hebrew reading skills and become familiar with the prayers and traditions that prepare them to confidently participate in Jewish life and celebrate important milestones.
As a community-based program, SCJEP is open to everyone. Synagogue membership is never required. Whether your family is deeply involved in Jewish life, just beginning your Jewish journey, or somewhere in between, you'll find a warm, inclusive community where children can learn, grow, and belong.
